Description

Our client is looking to bring on a Solutions Architect to be responsible to be responsible for discovery and state of the environment with business units and then research best approaches to migrating from an old legacy system into a BigQuery Data Warehouse environment.

 

They are requiring that candidates have experience with GCP all tools, BigQuery, Data Warehouse and SQL. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills.

 

Accountabilities:

 

• Works directly with Principal Architect and Technical Leads to establish technology standards and strategies that drive outcomes of scalability, stability, performance, security, and operational insight

 

• Builds solution architectures that align requirements, design patterns, and technology standards to achieve solution agility and speed to implementation

 

• Leads and/or participate in business, discovery, strategy, design, and implementation activities that support continuous improvement across Commercial Technologies products.

 

• Maintains technical roadmaps, designs, and documentation

 

• Work directly with business and technology stakeholders to specific needs, history, and understand problems

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

 

• Preferred Qualifications 10+ years custom software development experience

 

• 4+ years of hands-on application development experience using web and database technologies such as OOP, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and SQL. Tanzu (formerly PCF), is a nice to have.

 

• Demonstrates a strong knowledge of modern architectural patterns including event-driven, microservice, client-side application, legacy co-existence and data warehouse architectures

 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

 

• Strong experience with cloud-based Data Warehouse environments and toolsets

 

• Experience with relational and noSQL databases

 

• Proven experience working with all layers of application development.

 

• Significant experience with distributed computing and message-based systems

 

Education:

 

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent working experience
