Quality Manager

Description

We have a local & growing manufacturer, that are seeking to fill a Quality Manager position! The Quality Manager will oversee all aspects of quality management and assurance in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with quality systems such as ISO9001 and AS9100, as well as a background in Lean Manufacturing. They will need to be hands-on and analytical in nature, with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage teams effectively. The quality manager responsibilities will include becoming an expert on the company’s manufacturing procedures and practices, being the primary company contact for customers and regulatory agencies during audits, maintaining the company’s quality system documentation plus ensuring all documentation remains current and all processes are properly documented, maintain and develop procedures to be followed in various manufacturing operations, coordinate with operations personnel to ensure that work instructions and procedures are accurate and intuitive in their structure, maintain and analyze records for all quality related metrics, including on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and internal reworks, manage safety and regulatory compliance programs, manage the identification, development and implementation of corrective & preventive actions, ensuring that all related activities are timely and relevant, monitor and maintain supply-chain quality & performance related metrics, including approval, audits and corrective actions, and prepare first article and PPAP reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems such as ISO9001 and AS9100
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans
  • Lead internal and external quality audits
  • Train and mentor employees on quality assurance principles and practices
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve overall product quality
  • Ensure that products meet customer requirements and industry standards
  • Manage and supervise quality assurance personnel
