Technical Writer Lead

Description

Looking for an individual with experience answering RFI/RFP questionnaires especially for someone with an understanding of the healthcare industry and its operational processes across several different business units, i.e. Network Management, Utilization Management and Network Adequacy. Experience with Behavioral Health a plus but not necessary. The individual must be able to:

  • Review the RFI/RFP questions, understand the question’s intent and provide the correct answer to the question from the RFI/RFP database.
  • Act as first point of review to ensure answers provided appropriately answer request.
  • Able to review documents, synthesize information and then craft the answer to the RFI/RFP question if no current database answer exists to answer the question.
  • Ability to recognize the similarities between questions from different RFI/RFPs and then identify previously approved answers to respond to the current question.
  • Ensure that the answer provided to the Subject Matter Expert (SME) is appropriate, complete and does not contain unnecessary information for the question asked.
  • Coordinate with business unit SMEs to either obtain approval of the provided answers, work with them to obtain updates to the answers or work with them to obtain an answer if none is available.
  • Work with the account manager to request data from the data team(s) to answer RFI/RFP questions with the ability to guide the account manager to provide the data team with the information they will need to pull the data.
  • Work with vendors to obtain the appropriate answers to the RFI questions and data.
  • Insert approved content into the RFI/RFP database.
  • Maintain RFI/RFP data tracker to manage & report due dates and reminders.
  • Report monthly the volume and response rate of RFIs.
  • Manage multiple RFIs/RFPs at various stages simultaneously including: drafting initial responses, coordination of SME reviews, approvals and escalations while ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Be highly organized, detail oriented as well as have the ability to solve any problems that might occur in the process of obtaining the required information and approvals so as to meet required deadlines and turnaround times.
  • Work independently without daily supervision.
  • Know how to work on SharePoint.

 

Requirements

Top Skills:

Experience with answering RFI/RFPs and proposals.

Experience working with subject matter experts/business leaders from various different operational areas with an understanding of how healthcare operations work

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree

Microsoft Office, Adobe/ PDF, SharePoint, Excel

 

Nice to Have:

Experience with Behavioral Health
