Description
The IT Manager is responsible for meeting the targets and expectations for customer service and support performance. This individual will manage the IT Help Desk team and related IT processes and tasks, establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and service and maintain system, software, hardware, and user connectivity. In addition, the IT Manager is also responsible for the effective IT onboarding and support of internal and external stakeholders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, and/or Engineering related technology field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Certifications: Active and up to date CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, LPI Linux certifications, and/or Cisco certifications are desired but not required. Candidates with up-to-date credentials and/or multiple certifications are also desired.
Experience:
Three years’ experience as a pioneering technologist with proven track record and focus on technology implementations, software development, or experimental education.
Three years’ proven expertise in three or more of the following areas:
Service Desk/Help Desk Break-Fix
Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft SharePoint
MDM Administration
Low Code/No Code Development
ITIL Service Delivery Processes
Technical Documentation Development
Project Management
Training and Coaching other IT professionals
Technology Enterprise Networking
Supervisory experience in an IT position preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Experience with current computing practices, standards, and equipment is required.
Experience with leading technical professionals is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is required.
Experience with collaborating and working with all levels within an organization is required.
Experience in public library, public-sector, and a union environment is preferred.
Experience with providing excellence customer service internally and externally is required.
Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required. Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, etc. Munis experience preferred.
Proficiency in MS Active Directory/Azure Active Directory is preferred.
Track record with ongoing technical education (LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, Certification) is required.
