Description

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and security of all information technology systems, networks, and infrastructure within the plant. You will play a crucial role in optimizing technology to support our manufacturing processes, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of our plant.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the plant’s objectives, ensuring that technology solutions are effectively integrated into the manufacturing processes.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of the plant’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, telecommunications systems, and hardware/software resources.
  • Manufacturing Systems Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing requirements and provide technical support for specialized manufacturing software, automation systems, and process control applications.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the plant’s IT systems adhere to industry best practices and compliance standards. Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data, intellectual property, and digital assets.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT team.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, making informed decisions regarding technology investments, upgrades, and resource allocation.
  • Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with external technology vendors and service providers to source, evaluate, and procure necessary hardware, software, and services.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations in the event of IT system failures or emergencies.
  • Training and User Support: Provide training and technical support to plant employees on IT systems, ensuring that they can effectively use technology to enhance their daily tasks.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of technological advancements relevant to the manufacturing industry, evaluating their potential impact and recommending strategies for integration.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience 3 years as an IT Manager, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation systems, and industrial control systems.
  • Proficiency in network architecture, cybersecurity protocols, and IT best practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and data analytics platforms.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
  • Project management expertise to oversee technology implementations and upgrades.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent are desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards specific to manufacturing environments.
