Analyst, Quality Assurance

Position Description

Under broad supervision, the Quality Assurance Analyst will collaborate with management to perform audits on cases, conduct root cause analyses, and offer recommendations to rectify recurring errors within the Department. Individuals in this role will be responsible for the analysis of the accuracy and reliability of data entered into the criminal justice systems and providing recommendations for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or policy changes.

The Quality Assurance Analyst will be expected to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, as it involves cross-referencing records, identifying discrepancies, and possessing strong analytical skills.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Performance Monitoring:

  • Collects data from daily conducted audits and identifies, logs, and investigates the root cause of errors.
  • Produces reports to assist in division operations, monitor activities, evaluate performance, and analyze business processes.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Provides guidance to management and works with leadership and administrative staff to audit vendor invoices.
  • Attends and actively participates in meetings aligned with departmental objectives and pertinent to the job function.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Performs detailed data analysis, generates reports, and offers improvement recommendations.
  • Utilizes analytical techniques and technical skills to identify metrics that enhance the understanding of business operations.
  • Develops programs and methodologies for retrieving, analyzing, reporting, and presenting data.
  • Investigates trends and patterns in quality control error findings.

Quality Control:

  • Conducts quality control reviews of the data, maintains the integrity of the information the department collects, addresses corrective actions for data issues, and reports during the assessment, investigation, and supervision processes.
